Clarkson Women's Hockey Frozen Four Central

Striving for the University's first-ever NCAA National Championship in any sport, the Clarkson Women's Hockey team will battle two-time defending National Champion University of Minnesota in the 2014 Frozen Four Championship game on Sunday afternoon.

The Golden Knights, who defeated Mercyhurst 5-1 in Friday's semifinal game, will face off against the Golden Gophers at 3:00 p.m. at the High Points Solutions Arena at the TD Bank Sports Center on the campus of Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn. Minnesota (38-1-1) advances for their third consecutive showing in the national title game after defeating Wisconsin 5-3 in the other semifinal contest. The Knights and Minnesota are the only two teams in Division I women's hockey to the 30-win mark this season, and this is the first time Clarkson has ever won more than 28 games.

The 2014 Frozen Four will be held at Quinnipiac University's High Point Solutions Arena at TD Bank Sports Center in Hamden, Conn.
