The Clarkson Golden Knights enjoyed the Thanksgiving Weekend off and return to ECAC play this week when they travel to Princeton and Quinnipiac.
The Knights are riding a 5 game win streak on the strength of their defensive play that has held opponents to only 5 goals in the past 5 games, while scoring 18 over that stretch. Clarkson swept Arizona St. at home on Nov. 18 (2-1) & Nov. 19 (5-3).
Clarkson's getting it's offense from it's expected sources.
Ayrton Martino has been the most consistent point producer, chipping in a point in his last 6 straight games. Clarkson is 7-3 when #15 has a point.
Alex Campbell has been hot since coming back from injury, he has 5 goals in his last 4 games, while
Mathieu Gosselin had his best point night of the season in the last game against Arizona St., where he had a goal and 3 assists.
Jacob Schmidt-Svejstrup scores in bunches, so far he only scores in pairs in a game (3 games with 2 goals).
Anthony Callin has also been a big part of the strong showing in November with 5 points in his last 5 games.
Ethan Haider was 5-1 in November and ran his goals against average down to 2.23.
The Knights are 2-0-1 in the last three games at Hobey Baker Rink, but Princeton has been a tough out this season, keeping all of their losses very close. They lost a pair of 4-1 games to #2 ranked Quinnipiac and then have been 1 or 2 goals back in the other 4 losses, so the Knights will have their work cut out for them in Jersey.
