Clarkson looked to rebound from a tough loss Friday at Princeton against one of the top ranked teams in the country in Quinnipiac, but a strong 2nd period from the Bobcats helped them to a 6-3 win.
Quinnipiac would be the first team on the board, but the Knights would fight back when
Brady Egan got his first goal as a Golden Knight at 13:55 on a wrist shot from the high slot.Â
Ryan Richardson would make it 2-1 Knights at 16:41, a lead they would take into the second period.
The Bobcats would out shot the Knights 22 to 2 in the middle frame and score 3 goals to head into the break up 4-2.
Quinnipiac would pull ahead when Brind'Amour would tally early in the third, but
Noah Beck would score on the power play to make it 5-3 at 6:08. Clarkson would get the extra attacker on, but the Bobcats sealed the game with a goal with just 25 seconds left.Â
Ethan Haider would make 39 saves on the night. Clarkson would go 1 for 3 on the power play and allow 1 goal on 4 chances for the Bobcats.Â
Next, the Knights will finish the semester off at home with Brown and Yale next weekend.
