With the extra attacker, Lake Superior would get the equalizer to force overtime with under a minute to play.
In the extra session, the teams would trade chances until Lake Superior got control in the offensive zone and a rebound was redirected into the net. The goal was immediately waived off by the official for goaltender interference, but after a challenge by Lakers coaches, the goal was deemed to be a good goal, giving Lake Superior the win.
Clarkson was 0 for 2 on the power play and killed off 3 of 3 chances for the Lakers.
Tomorrow the Knights will face off at 7:30 vs Michigan Tech at Cheel Arena.
