PROVIDENCE, RI - Clarkson was able to break out offensively for a 6-2 win at Meehan Auditorium on the campus of Brown University.
The Knights jumped out to a lead just 3:06 into the 1st period when
Ayrton Martino scored from
Anthony Callin and
Kaelan Taylor.
Jacob Schmidt-Svejstrup put the Knights up 2-0 just 2 minutes later with assists from
Alex Campbell and
Dustyn McFaul. Brown would pull within 1 before the period ended.
In the 2nd period, Clarkson would get the lone goal when
Mathieu Gosselin scored at 13:44. Campbell and Schmidt-Svejstrup would get their 2nd points of the game.
The 3rd period would see
Alex Campbell get his second hat trick of the season when he scored at 1:16, 5:59, & 14:33. Goals 2 and 3 were on the power play. Schmidt-Svejstrup, Gosselin, Martino, Callin, & Beck would assist with Campbell's Hat Trick.
Ethan Haider would make 26 saves for the win. Clarkson outshot Brown 36 to 28.
The power play worked well for Clarkson tonight, going 2 for 6 and holding Brown to 1 for 5 on the power play.
