WOMEN'S HOCKEY
Kira Hurley
Junior, Goaltender - Pickerin, ONT/Leaside Kings (boys)

Kira Hurley was named the ECAC Hockey League's Goaltender of the Year. Starting in 35 games this season, Hurley boasted a .937 save percentage and a 1.29 goals against average en route to a 21-12-1 record, including an NCAA-high 10 shutouts. In ECACHL action, Hurley started all 20 league games and ranked second in the conference in both save percentage (.936) and GAA (1.25) and posted a league-high eight shutouts.


MEN'S HOCKEY
David Leggio
Sophomore, Goaltender - Williamsville, NY/Capital District Selects

David Leggio gave Clarkson a chance to win the ECACHL Quarterfinal series against seventh-ranked Cornell in Ithaca by stopping 106 of 113 shots thriough 179 minutes of play in the two-game series. The Big Red prevailed over the Golden Knights winning two double overtime thrillers, 4-3 on Friday and 3-2 on Saturday.



MEN'S NORDIC SKI
Sam Morse
Senior - Camden, NY/Camden

Sam Morse placed second overall among Nordic skiers in combined events at the 2006 United States Collegiate Ski Association (USCSA) Championships held at Sugarloaf, Maine from March 7-11. Morse placed third in the 1.5k sprint, third in the 15k classic and third in the 8.5 skate. He also helped the Golden Knights’ 3x5 relay place fourth.



WOMEN'S NORDIC SKI
Whitney Olson
Sophomore - Scotia, NY/Scotia-Glenville

Whitney Olson placed fifth overall among Nordic skiers in combined events at the 2006 United States Collegiate Ski Association (USCSA) Championships held at Sugarloaf, Maine from March 7-11. Olson placed fifth in the 1.5k sprint, fourth in the 15k classic and sixth in the 8.5 skate. She also helped the Golden Knights’ 3x5 relay place fourth.




BASEBALL
Mike Bresett
Freshman, OF/2B - Norwood, NY/Norwood

Through five games, Mike Bresett is hitting .450 in 20 at bats. He has scored five times and driven in four more runs. At this point, he leads the team in hits, triples, total bases, slugging and on-base percentage while playing flawless in the field. Bresett was named Liberty League Performer of the Week.



MEN'S LACROSSE
Brian Hoey
Freshman, Attack - Auburn, NY/Auburn

Brian Hoey scored two goals and two assists in Clarkson's season-opneing 8-6 win over Susquehanna University on Friday in Florida. Hoey was named Liberty League Rookie of the Week.
