Genevieve Lavoie
Fr., Left Wing - St. Laurent, QUE/St. Laurent College
- Genevieve Lavoie, Clarkson’s leading scorer continued her recent offensive surge with a pair of hat tricks along with two assists to pace the Golden Knights to the weekend seep in ECACHL play at Cheel Arena. Lavoie figured in on all Clarkson’s scoring in Friday’s 4-2 win over Yale with three goals, including the game-winner and a power-play tally, along with one assist. She earned her third hat trick of the season with two power-play tallies and the game-winner in Saturday’s 4-1 win over Brown. Lavoie has scored 13 goals and two assists over the past seven games. Lavoie was named ECACHL Player and Rookie of the Week.
MEN'S HOCKEY
David Cayer
Jr., Forward - Longueuil, QUE/Longueuil College Francais
- One the many productive Clarkson forwards, David Cayer jumped to the forefront over the weekend with five points, including a pair of game-winning goals, as the Golden Knights extended their current winning streak to four games with road victories over Yale and Brown. He tallied the deciding goal in Friday’s 4-1 win over the Bulldogs early in the second period with a power-play marker and also set up three other Clarkson power-play goals to equal his career high for points in a game (4). Cayer came through with the winning score in Saturday’s 2-1 victory over the Bears, connecting for the Knights’ only even-strength goal of the weekend three minutes into the third period. Cayer was named ECACHL Player of the Week.
MEN'S BASKETBALL
Waryn McCullough
Fr., Forward - Rochester, NY/Wilson
- Brought back slowly from injury, Waryn McCullough burst out of the gate in the final two wins of the week for Clarkson, averaging 13 points per game over those two contests, including 18 points on 6-for-7 shooting in just 20 minutes off the bench against Elmira. McCullough was named Liberty League Rookie of the Week.
